Not having a liquor licence in Dubai is a big risk if you are a resident and like a tipple. We developed a campaign highlighting the dangers in a visually interesting way and threw a bit of clever copy into the mix! Some of the executions used sporting analogies to get around the ban on advertising alcohol in the UAE.

Who said romance is dead? We handpicked the romanciers in the agency to create an interactive microsite which highlighted the romantic setting and stories surrounding a stay in the Burj Al Arab. How about, for example, arriving in a Rolls Royce for dinner on a private beach with your own personal orchestra creating the mood?

MAKING IT REWARDING

Great advertising is observational and having witnessed at first hand the transformation of grocery shopping at Spinneys using a HSBC credit card into an iPod the seeds of a great idea were sown. The idea extended to rewarding business cards and shopping mall activations with magicians turning lemons into iPods. With membership and engagement on the up Air Miles has fast become the leading provider of loyalty programs in the region.

Al Jalila Children’s Hospital

WHEN CHILDREN IMAGINE, MAGICAL THINGS HAPPEN

A gift from Sheikh Mohammed to children living in the UAE, Al Jalila Children’s Specialty Hospital is the first hospital in the region dedicated to treating children. Hospitals can be scary places but great care has been taken to create a less intimidating environment. This together with the tagline ‘A place where I can be a child’ gave us the inspiration to create an opening campaign (press, radio, outdoor, video) showing children using their imaginations to transform what can be a frightening experience into something fun and exciting.

Moorfields

ABSOLUTE PRECISION

We focused on British healthcare standards and precision through establishing the connection with famous icons while taking advantage of tactical opportunities as and when they arose (e.g. England being robbed by a blind linesman at the 2010 World Cup). The website has been central to our strategy and as well as creating English and Arabic versions we have kept it regularly updated leading to a 40% increase in traffic every year since 2008.
